This stuff is all in Perl not Java...
tipjar authenticated identity service server is available at
http://cpan.mirrors.tds.net/authors/id/D/DA/DAVIDNICO/ais.tar.gz
the openID specifications are available at openid.net
openID deals with URL as identifier, instead of e-mail address as identifier,
so a combination of the two would provide a web page prefix to a nickname
which would be in the PATH_INFO of the CGI program that runs at the prefix,
and a way to choose a nickname to use, and a way to embed the openID-compliant
service on another web page -- which openID allows, it has "openID delegation"
well defined.
What exactly happens when the AIS web page is opened? I imagine there
could be some per-identity information and perhaps a comment form that would
send an e-mail without revealing the identity's e-mail address.
The only working AIS server that is up that I know of (not counting
bitcard, which
is very similar) is the one that is used by such things as
http://www.tipjar.com/nettoys/pink/pinkframe.html
that is, web services under my own control.
https://www.bitcard.org/ as I said is very similar, and an openID
layer that works against
bitcard might be a good starting point, as bitcard is tested better
than TJAIS, and we
can adapt the interface to TJAIS as the TJ project grows, in addition to simply
publishing the openID+bitcard layer as a working openID identity server.

Hi David,
I couldnt get any documentation for TipJar, can you please give me the
location of the same. Also I couldnt find any CVS for the same!!
I need to know more information about TipJar, like what its suppose to do
and also about the requirement Interface to OpenID.
Cheers,
Anil
