Several reasons come to mind:

 1. it causes servers to turn off 3rd party cancels, and compliance
    with RFC-1036 is a very good thing.

 2. it gives the Censorship Cabal a taste of their own bitter remedy.

 3. it discourages newbies from playing NANAU/NANAE complainer games.

 4. it forces discussions like this.
