Starting Emacs and issuing this command:
/plink:address@hidden:/home/me/
I get one error the first time, and the one I posted the second time.
The second mesage also occurred from OSX to a Gentoo machine that had uunecode.
Following is the relevant part of the *Message* buffer. Sending the
debug buffer to you off list.
