dired-do-query-replace-regexp fails

Hi,

after marking a few files in a dired buffer, then, I tried
dired-do-query-replace-regexp and it fails with the error shown below. The
reported file name (path and name) is the first marked file, that is, I'm
sure that the file exists.

I also tried in a dired buffer that contains only one file and it failed
in the same way.

Please, any hint on how to debug the problem?
