[vile] Broken status line in 9.7zb.

Hello.
In vile-9.7zb status line is shown like (best viewed with monospace font):

=== export-fs.scm\?FFh [schememode] is sample/export-fs.scm 
===================|==>
                 ^^^^^
                                                                 There is 
garbage after buffer name.

And ruler is gone. 
But if buffer name is long enough (> 19 characters), then
status line behaves normal so no garbage is displayed and ruler is
shown.
