Minor update:

Actually right now it is 5.16.1.

5.8 is still common on many systems but is no longer
supported; 5.10 is about to (or just did) sunset.

Folks should be using 5.12 to be current; probably 
want to upgrade to 5.16.1 for bugfixes and quite a
bit of useful syntax.
