Details:

I'm writing a twitter script where I create a buffer for the twitter script
and then use the nick list in there to provide nick completion.

However right now I can't complete nicks when there is a @ infront of it. IE I
want to do this:

@ni<tab> --> @nick

Some other people on IRC seems to think this might be useful outside of this
use case. For example being able to auto complete nicks like this with special
chars infront of them:
{nick1,nick2,nick3}

If this can't be a default feature it would be great if this could be done
some how via plugins
