What I said above, do locally:
```
... build with CFLAGS=-g ...
make check-valgrind
vi tests/test--include-directories1.log (or tail or cat that file)
```

Instead of `make check-valgrind`, this command should also work (faster) 
`TESTS_ENVIRONMENT="VALGRIND_TESTS=1" make check -C tests 
TESTS=test--include-directories1`.
