Hi,
I found the software xstab which I really would like to get running. The
project has been dead for years. The code is GPL. I was trying to
compile it for hours. The GUI is based on xforms 0.88. It is still
listed on http://world.std.com/~xforms/new/app.html although the home
page is dead. The source code can be found at
http://goemon.polito.it/software/lethal/scheda.php?id=26
I installed the already compiled library of xform to /usr/local.
Compiling xstab worked really well for a long time. Than I got the
following:
...
/usr/local/lib/libforms.so: undefined reference to `errno'
/usr/local/lib/libforms.so: undefined reference to `_xstat'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [XStab] Fehler 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/hugo/Documents/xstab/programm/XStab/src'
make: *** [srcs] Fehler 2
address@hidden:~/Documents/xstab/programm/XStab>
I found out it is something regarding newer version gcc.
("Since version 2.9 of the GCC compiler the compiler has become a lot
stricter over declaring external references. Undefined reference to
?errno?")
I am using gcc 3.3
For me it seems I need to recompile xforms with gcc 3.3 or I coud use an
older version of gcc. To be honest I really do not have a glue what to
do next.
Thanks for any help
