Just got it to work, it was rather simple to do since
it's just derived from the "fill" sliders. All you have
to do is what you probably already do anyway for a pro-
gress bar, i.e. setting a new "slider value" and updating
the label accordingly whenever appropriate. And the user
can't mess around with it anymore;-)

I'll take a look at the glcanvas issue now and when I'm
done with that (or have to admit that I can't figure it
out quickly;-) I'll create a new pre-release to test if
it worksd for you properly.
