Please can you try the following:
Open an xterm, type 'xlog' and print the log.

You should see latex output scrolling by in your xterm. 
The print dialog will 'hang' and will wait until latex is finished.
Then the log will be printed.

At the time I wrote version 0.6 I did now know how to use 'fork()',
so I used the easy way. I can fix it in the next release.
(working on it, but it may take a while).
