If you tested gradwellnet itself, the full error message is:

Notice the last line! Zonecheck tested:
% dig @ns0.gradwell.com A mail-in-2.lb.gradwell.net.

Because lb.gradwell.net is itself delegated. If this is your test,
then, yes, it seems there is a bug (Zonecheck should follow the
referral)
