I am pleased to announce the release of Adcd 1.4.
Adcd is a cd player for GNU/Linux with a ncurses (text mode) interface.
Adcd can play all the tracks from a disc in order (linear mode), or in
the order specified by the user (playlist mode), and includes all the
functions expected in a stand-alone cd player, including random play and
loop mode.
Adcd also features a non-interactive mode for those who want to play
their CDs while using the console for something else.
The homepage is at http://www.nongnu.org/adcd/adcd.html
The sources can be downloaded from
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/adcd/
The sha1sum is:
86460d58295eb269a7014b87205d36f06ae0e932 adcd-1.4.tar.lz
This release is also GPG signed. You can download the signature by
appending ".sig" to the URL.
Changes in version 1.4:
* "Not ready" status is now detected after "close", so that the
correct status can be shown when the drive becomes ready.
* The drive is now only polled every second while playing. It is not
polled if paused, stopped or if no disc is present.
* If switching to playlist mode while playing, the current track is
now selected in the list.
* The targets "install-compress", "install-strip-compress",
"install-info-compress" and "install-man-compress" have been added to
the Makefile.
Please send bug reports and suggestions to address@hidden
Regards,
Antonio Diaz, Adcd author and maintainer.
