[Aeskulap-users] Filenames lower.case vs. UPPER.CASE |

Hi,
i've just received a CD with DICOM images, which were probably produced
on a Windows machine. When i opened the DicomDir, i could see the
enclosed study and all of the series within. But i couldn't open the
images.
To find out, what's wrong, i started aeskulap again from console (with
command aeskulap). I saw the error messages 'can't
open .../DICOMDAT/SDY00000/SRS00000/IMG00000' etc. On CD the files are
named in lower case. On Windows/DOS this makes no difference, but on
Linux / Unix it does!
So i had to copy the relevant files to harddrive and rename all folders
and files to upper case (no big deal with tunar :-) and everything
worked fine.
Of course this is a bug in the producing Windows program. Maybe it will
be a userfriendly enhancement, to check the filenames in both variants?
Like to hear your opinion!
