Check the docs of Gaim if they support Aspell >= 0.50 or if they still base 
their spellchecking feature on aspell < 0.50 or if they require ispell and if 
they are able to use the ispell wrapper for aspell.

I they still use aspell < 0.50 tell them to upgrade to aspell > 0.50
