[AUCTeX-devel] configuration corrupted. How to avoid being asked for section label

Hi

My auctex/reftex configuration file has been corrupted and I can't
recover the correct version. I had set a variable such which resulted in
the following behavior. When 

Typing C-c C-s

a section was inserted, I was asked for the title, but the label was
automatically inserted. Now I am asked for confirmation for the label
which is to be inserted.  I dislike this confirmation.

What was the variable which controls this behavior?
