I have auto-complete and it does auto-complete just doesn't rescan
or update. I have tried using g to rescan to no avail. Even if I
kill the buffer and re-open that doesn't help.
I guess a better way to put it is that it is rescanning the file. If
I type in Meyer it will find the new bibtex entry for Meyer that was
just added but ido completion with Mey [tab] won't list anything. I
have removed MchUnpub to Mch2011 for example. It will autocomplete
MchUnpub still even thought it is gone but then can't find it. If I
type in Mch has no problems finding Mch2011. Hope this made sense.
Therefore, I don't think reftex when it rescans is telling ido to
rescan the file for completion. That would be my guess but not sure
and don't know how to fix it either way.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hello,
For auto-complete you should have a look to Ido which gives you an
auto-complete almost everywhere and it does in C-c [
For the update, when you want to enter a cication, in the citation
buffer, type g to rescan the database of references. It should
work.

Subject: [AUCTeX] Auto-complete in Reftex cite mode
Message-ID: <address@hidden>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed
It seems even though it updates my bib file so when I search
it finds
the references no problem. It doesn't rescan it for the
auto-complete
keys since the first time I used it on these files. It still
has an old
Key I changed. Any of the new keys I've added since I started
the file
don't autocomplete when in cite mode. How do I rescan the
document so it
will autocomplete and get rid of the keys I've changed. I
haven't
figured out where to do this or what controls this when in
reftex cite mode.
Thanks for the help and cheers,
Jeff
