[AUCTeX] [elpa] Trouble when loading auctex.el

Hello,

here is the context:

  * Linux Mageia box,

  * compiled GNU Emacs 24.2.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.10)

  * auctex-11.86 installed via M-x list-packages (elpa)

  * an almost empty .emacs file, containing just:

  (load "auctex.el" nil t t)
  (load "preview-latex.el" nil t t)

When running emacs, I get the error:

Nevertheless, auctex is running as expected when a .tex file is open.
