... or not so much. I did compile again Emacs 24.2.1 (stable, that is) 
to ensure I was compiling with dbus (Ubuntu 12.04) and took the 
opportunity to use GTK 3 ---instead of GTK 2, as before---, and did a 
fresh install of AUCTeX 11.87.

I still have the problem that Control-clicking on the Evince (3.4.0) PDF 
takes me to the next page on source *with some multifile* documents, but 
not with other multifile documents, where it works as it should. I still 
can't figure what the difference could be.

C-c C-v on source *always* takes me to the exact point on the PDF.
