Hi Zhao,
I have only dabbled with the various new version of Biblex as they have come along in the 30+ years since I wrote my PhD thesis in LaTeX and became a convert. I know from many papers, grants, and theses since then that standard BibTeX works fine.
Of course, I do not want to sound like an old curmudgeon and I love new tools and tricks. So I really welcome hearing from others on the list about advantages with the newer forms. I know that there are features I would add if I were competent
enough.
Best,
Rob
