[avr-gcc-list] Invalid bfd target

Subject:	[avr-gcc-list] Invalid bfd target

/opt/avrgcc/bin/avr-objcopy: avrlcd.obj: Invalid bfd target

What exactly does this mean? I get this error whenever I attempt any of
the avrgcc versions for Linux. It seems to be the step which should
create the ihex or srec file.
