Summary:  missing stdint.h

Original Submission:  The C99 standard requires stdint.h.  We only have 
inttypes.h.

The new <stdint.h> file has been merged into the 1.0 branch
as well.

I just committed a file <stdint.h>, based on the old
<inttypes.h>, and modified <inttypes.h> to include that
file.

It's not yet clear whether this will make it into the 1.0
CVS branch or not.
