[4.13 on FreeBSD 4.1.1] Error parsing sheets.map

Hello,

I encountered the following problem using a default install of
a2ps 4.13, German localization, running on 
FreeBSD 4.1.1-Stable as of Oct 30, 2000.

Whenever I try to run the program, I get the error

a2ps:/usr/local/share/a2ps/sheets/sheets.map:50: unexpected character 
`*'       

line 50 in the above mentioned file reads:

*                       plain

When I prefix this line with a hash sign (#), the next line starting
with an asterisk will be considered invalid.

When I move the file away, a2ps works fine.
