a2ps ps will not distill to PDF with Adobe 4.x

Hi:

I've been experimenting with a2ps 4.12 for Windows.  I have noticed that with 
version 4.13 there is talk of a2ps generating PDF files with either Adobe 
distiller or Ghostscript.  Under Windows, generation of postscript files with 
a2ps and then distilling to PDF with Adobe Distiller 3.0 causes no problem.  
Trying to do the same with Adobe Distiller 4.0 (Windows) causes a fatal 
error.  Distiller cannot generate a PDF, even with the simplest of a2ps 
generated postscript file.   

Has anyone else seen this?
