Dear Gnu.Org,
I am having a few problems with a2ps and am hoping you will be able to help
me. The project I am working on collects data from various devices
overnight. After processing the data I need to generate a number of status
reports.
The first issue relates to formatting. I wish to print the reports in 132
column landscape mode. However when I try and do this I get two reduced A4
(portrait) pages per sheet! Not quite what I was after. I am unable to find
an option to generate one page per sheet.
The other problem is that the command:-
a2ps -r --chars-per-line=132 Record_Rpt
works correctly (ignoring the formatting problem) in the directory
containing the report. However if I run this from a shell script specifying
a full pathname, /usr/michael/POLL/log/Record_Rpt, it responds with:-
[/usr/Michael/POLL/log/Record_Rpt (binary): ignored]
[No output produced]
Thankyou in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Hopprich
