to fix the problem set --columns=1, which i would think would
have been the default.....
system: linux redhat 7.3
trying to print a text file that has 130 characters per line in
portrait or lanscape mode does not work as expected. I am using
8.5 x 11 inch paper, and have tried 2 different printers.
a2ps -l 80 -o=- -r -P myprinter (the -l is a lowercase L )
prints in landscape, wraps at col 80 and uses half the width of the page
a2ps -l 132 -o=- -r -P myprinter
prints in landscape, does not wrap, uses half the widht of the page, but
the font is so tiny, you need a magnifier to read it.
portrait mode has the same problems, also uses only half the page... but
the font size is even smaller.
the text file is nothing more 3 lines of
abcdefghij.......etc etc...(each line being 130 characters long)
is this a bug or am i missing something here? is there a work-around?
