a2ps 4.14: $l# gives last line + 1

Platform: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS vm on VirtualBox on Windows Pro 64 bit.
To reproduce:
a2ps --footer='$l#' -Pdisplay whatever.txt
compare to:
wc whatever.txt
or even just look at the numbers in the file produced by a2ps itself
with --line-numbers (which are correct).
