)LIBS is currently computed from the location of the running apl binary. This is sometimes convenient and sometimes not. A secure way of handling this is to have the paths in the user's preferences file. I believe that some of the libs (wslib3, 4, and 5) are installed in the location where you expect them and that the system's preferences file reflect those locations.
