Such integer numbers are *very* *very* hard to remember, why not accepting this syntax (in plain text, even mixed with integers)?

It would be trivial to do. Simply create a set of  FIO∆name variables that hold the proper values. There is no need to use strings for this.

If you do it, I'm sure Jürgen will merge it into FILE_IO.apl.
