Hi Jerome, looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_Native_Interface and in particular at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWIG tt should be fairly simple to call libapl from Java. I am not a Java programmer myself (I tried it 20 years ago but the language refused to like me) so I can't give you more details.
