what's the best?

hardcoding, improving efficiency, and putting another brick on the wall 
of standardization..

...or i18n/TERMinalization, improve complexity (and bug-risk), slow down 
performance and consolidation of the differences


I can't answer to that question... but I see a lot of bash-code using 
hardcoding
