Bash Version: 5.2
Patch Level: 26
Release Status: release

Description:
        "help ulimit" includes this paragraph:

            Values are in 1024-byte increments, except for -t, which is in
seconds,
            -p, which is in increments of 512 bytes, and -u, which is an
unscaled
            number of processes.

        Whereas the relevant portion of "man bash" says this:

            Values are in 1024-byte increments, except for -t, which is in
seconds;
             -R, which is in microseconds; -p, which is in units of 512-byte
blocks;
             -P, -T, -b, -k, -n, and -u, which are unscaled values; and, when
in posix
             mode, -c and -f, which are in 512-byte increments.

        Thus, "help ulimit" is incomplete and incorrect. For example, it
implies that
        "ulimit -n" is in 1024-byte increments, when it is in fact an unscaled
value.

Repeat-By:
        $ help ulimit
        Read the penultimate paragraph, and compare it with "man bash".

Fix:
        I would suggest copying the relevant text from "man bash" into the
"help ulimit"
        text, as the former seems to be more correct (and hopefully entirely
correct).
