Yes, but this would not be the place where it is appropriate to
request system call changes - what do you expect bash developers
(or users in general) to do that could alter anything there.
Instead you'd need to go to *every* OS that exists (at least the
ones bash runs on for this purpose - which I think includes Windows)
and convince them to change the way things work, to meet your
demands.
