$ /usr/gnu/bin/ld -v
GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.20.1.20100303
/usr/gnu/bin/ld:built in linker script:14: syntax error
It looks like all linker scripts in the /usr/gnu/i386-pc-solaris2.11/lib/
ldscripts/ directory are broken (incomplete).
They all have less than 14 lines and look like the following script
$ cat /usr/gnu/i386-pc-solaris2.11/lib/ldscripts/elf_x86_64.xu
/* Script for ld -Ur: link w/out relocation, do create constructors */
OUTPUT_FORMAT("elf64-x86-64", "elf64-x86-64",
"elf64-x86-64")
OUTPUT_ARCH(i386:x86-64)
/* For some reason, the Solaris linker makes bad executables
if gld -r is used and the intermediate file has sections starting
at non-zero addresses. Could be a Solaris ld bug, could be a GNU ld
bug. But for now assigning the zero vmas works. */
