Hi Swen,
Hello, I try to roll back from binutils 2.20 to 2.18 in my system. I have installed gcc-3.4 and g++-3.4, the ./configure doesn't report any error, however when I try to make I got the error below:
make[2]: *** ûÓйæÔò¿ÉÒÔ´´½¨¡°size.o¡±ÐèÒªµÄÄ¿±ê¡°../bfd/bfdver.h¡±. stop. make[2]:leaving directory `/home/user/desktop/binutils-2.18/binutils'
I cannot actually read that error message. Do you have your locale set to C ? If not then try changing it to that.
As for the error itself I suspect that it connected with your attempt to rollback to the earlier binutils release. Did you build in a completely clean tree ? (Ie one with no remnants of the 2.20 release).
Cheers Nick
