Oh, I guess I'm screwed then. Thanks for all the help anyways :)
FWIW I do have a pretty odd software stack, with musl libc, libc++/libc++abi,
LLVM/clang, and no gcc whatsoever, and I do not have gnuconfig installed. I
also am on gentoo, so it might just be some odd USE flag behavior.
