Hi Herman,

  OK, please could you try out this patch ?

  It is incomplete - I need to add a new test case and probably update the
documentation as well - but I think that it does what is needed.

  In theory it will work if multiple search paths and libraries are specified
in the __.LIBDEP entry, although I have not tested this.
