help needed : old bison 1.2.8 not support parse-param/lex-param(cpio 2.09/2.10/2.11) |

et al,
I am working in a restricted environment and am attempting to use a
later 2.11 version of
cpio with a bison version 1.2.8.
The current issue is that this version has a getdate.y file with the
two bison directives
(parse-param & lex-param) which generates errors in bison 1.2.8. Which
I assume
does not normally support these two directives.
Is their a simple change to the 2.11/2.10/2.09 (unknown earlier version
of cpio) getdate.y to
remove these or is it a simple manner of using a earlier getdate.y
version, in the 2.11 cpio?
Looking for a known workaround if possible?
Thanks,
