Actually this is something I would like to discuss with the people involved but
the mailing lists seem to be broken.

I reached out to some of the maintainers in February this year. Here is an
excerpt from that email:

Mark Wielaard replied that he'd contact the fsf-tech team to see if they could
fix this, but this has not happened yet. I also sent him a friendly reminder a
few days ago.

If the project is officially dead it would be nice to know.
