I started using CommonC++ almost 2 years ago, and everything has been
fine until now.
I recently upgraded a box to RedHat 7.1 (with updates including kernel)
Kernel 2.4.3-12
g++ 2.96-85
and so I re-ran my regression tests and I get a core dump. :-(
I have reduced the problem down to a few lines, and maybe someone can
shed some light. The only thing you may have a problem with is, it
tries to make a socket connection to localhost:finger,
If you don't have that daemon running pick another port.
When running it on other systems (ie. RedHat 6.2) it works
but with RedHat 7.1 it coredumps with this traceback:
Something having to do with sleeping, and thread safety, and
this new kernel/libc, g++ ?
BTW I tried the latest 1.6.1 also.
