Common C++ 1.9.0 install failure

Just tried install common C++ 1.9.0 and I was not able to install it:

$ uname -a
SunOS cns-build2 5.6 Generic_105181-16 sun4u sparc

$ gcc -v

Command used:

$ ./configure --prefix=/auto/insbu-cnstools
