Hello to you!
actually the cut manpage has a bug in it:
SYNOPSIS
cut [OPTION]... [FILE]...
implies that it does need neither an option set nor files listed.
address@hidden ~]$ LANG=C cut
cut: you must specify a list of bytes, characters, or fields
Try `cut --help' for more information.
which is obviously plain wrong.
