This is a long running problem on Debian systems. Please see
http://bugs.debian.org/139569 for a longer explaination.
Meanwhile you can locate the documentation by looking for the top
level program invocation page. Like this:
info coreutils 'ls invocation'
info coreutils 'cat invocation'
info coreutils 'head invocation'
info coreutils 'sort invocation'
As a workaround to the problem the man pages on Debian Testing/Lenny
systems now points to this in the See Also section of the man page.
