I experience a Crash during ./configure conftest somewhere (MacOSX)

Hi,

Rare appearance here.  ;)

Experiencing a crash while going thru ./configure itself, on a
conftest somewhere.

ISTR this has happened on earlier releases of coreutils also,
and indeed other gnu and non-gnu stuff elsewhere,
just been too busy to submit a report here/anywhere, sorry.

System is MacOSX 10.5.6, XCode-3.1.2, everything under
/usr/local is self-compiled (no involvement of Fink or
MacPorts etc.).

These crashes occur also when switching my set-up to use other
compilers available within XCode.

Attached is a Finder-compressed folder of three files:
- - a full complete crashreport as sent to Apple,
- - what we see on the terminal (consolelog)
  and crashreport pop-up,
- - the config.log while set-up to use gcc-4.2

I've been building the test tarballs anyway.
Want to be sure this problem is not affecting them, tho,
before submitting any other reports.
