I used to use older version of coreutils that allowed for '--enable-selinux' or
'--disable-selinux'. This has been recently changed (2/2007). Now, when I
upgraded to coreutils-7.1 these options are not available.
I am making/compiling on the Fedora 9 GNU machine for a different target (sort
of cross-compilation). The making process detects SELinux on my building
machine and makes permanent linking to libselinux (e.g. 'ldd cp' shows this
relationship).
The SELinux is an add-on to LINUX and in my opinion that is how it should be
treated. Most modules/packages allow for enabling or disabling SELinux so I
think coreutils should not be any different.
So, ultimately something got lost. I could not find any documentation or any
notes how to go about. Please, reconsider adding options to disable SELinux
while configuring/making coreutilis.
