I'm using cpio-2.5-3 on Redhat 9 with the stock kernel 2.4.23.
I set up a script to create cpio archives with crc format, and then had it
verify with --only-verify-crc.
It created the archives without complaint, some measure more than 2GB.
It failes to verify the large files with the message:
cpio: standard input is closed: Value too large for defined data type
I read that format newc supports more than 64k inodes, so I tried that. Same
results.
Is cpio ready to read large files?
Thanks,
Perry
