This diagnostics is issued if mtime of the file changes during the
copying. This field is changed by operations that modify the file,
hence the diagnostics.

Older versions of cpio did not check for file modifications during copying.

The message means that the file was *actually* modified while being
copied, and there is no way to turn it off. It means that the resulting
archive may be inaccurate or incomplete.
