File "disappeared" and "end of file" error messages? |

Hi all,
We have a couple CVS repositories that we've been using without incident for
quite some time now. Some folks are now reporting the following errors when
working with fairly large binary files:
$ cvs co 3rdPartyR/c++/i18n/i18n.tar.gz
U 3rdPartyR/c++/i18n/i18n.tar.gz
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if
any)
Despite the end of file message the file was successfully checked out - it
can be gunzipped & untarred successfully...
The second error that another person is seeing is:
cvs server: warning: new-born 3rdPartyR/c++/i18n/i18n.tar.gz has disappeared
What do these errors mean? Why are we getting them if the files seem to be
accessable? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
-Bruce
