The patch you sent was corrupted with line wraps and leading '- ' added
to many lines. Could you send another copy of it?
As to the functionality, I can see reasonable arguments for both points
of view (status quo vs creating intermediate directories if they are
needed). Certainly, this is a first step toward allowing folks to
specify a relative or absolute path for checkout.
I have a slight bias towards accepting this enhancement. However, I
would like to hear what others think of it.
