It's not -- it's some kind of portability problem. Where is your CVS
server's temp directory? It appears to be on some kind of funky
filesystem that doesn't work the way CVS expects. You could try moving
it to a normal filesystem or trying the latest release of CVS 1.11
rather than 1.12.
